Hello YAP artists and parents
We are finally entering Spring and that means we are having our annual Portfolio exhibition. All work is due April 30th and the installation must be done by May 4. I highly encourage students to come Saturday, April 28, 2018, if you need extra time to work. The Studio will be open from 10 am – 6 pm.
The Taller would like to formally invite you, your family & Friends to attend the First Annual YAP Portfolio Exhibition. The exhibition will be on view May 4 – June 2, 2018. We are having a reception May 18 where we will be releasing the next issue of PLAY Teen Zine featuring the artwork of the Youth Artists created 2017-2018. We are also awarding one artist the Carlos Pascual Award which recognizes a Youth Artist for exemplary artistic merit.

We have several things coming up for the summer…
For students who have created short films or animation, the Philadelphia Latino Film Festival is accepting submissions for their screening featuring young filmmakers under the age of 22 called the Youth Salon. The Youth Salon is on Saturday June 2, 2015. It is a day of FREE film workshops and film screenings with lunch and breakfast provided. To get a chance at getting your film screened you can submit to the online form. Visit PHLAFF.org to submit. We are taking a field trip to the Youth Salon at UArts starting at 11am for registration.
The DELPHI Summer Teen Media Program is accepting applications for its paid internship starting Monday June 25, 2018. The Delphi Summer Teen Media Program is a six-week high school level summer program that provides unique training in filmmaking.
Before filling out the DELPHI application you must prepare a cover letter, a resumé, and 2 letters of recommendation. If you need help producing your paperwork I will be more than happy to help you put it together. The form is available online and as a physical copy you can fill out by hand.

Important Dates
- April 30 all works are due for the mAgazine and the Exhibition
- Friday, May 4 all work is installed in the gallery

- May 22 – 25, DELPHI Summer teen Media Program application and resume making.
- Saturday, June 2, Field trip to the Youth Salon Filmmaking workshops and screening at UArts.
