The Youth Artist Program is hosting a virtual documentary photography workshop for high school students on Tuesdays, 4:00 – 5:30 PM September 29 – November 17, 2020, for young artists in high school.
The workshop is FREE of charge but requires a commitment to all sessions. Participants must attend every session and complete the assignments. Missing two sessions will result in the removal of the participant’s inclusion in our book.
The workshop will focus on training students in documentary photography techniques, compositional essentials, imaging techniques, and the use of color in photography. Each participant will create a series of images in the style of photojournalism that will be published in print and web form.
No prior experience is required. The workshop is a celebration of photography with the interest of documenting this time of great social change during a pandemic and the spirit of visual storytelling. Acceptance to the program is first-come, first-serve. There are only 20 spots for this workshop.
We have eight sessions starting September 30- November 18, 2020The group meets every Wednesday from 4:00 – 5:30 PM
The classes are held on the platform Zoom. Meeting codes will be sent every week via email.
