Youth Artist Program Newsletter January & February 2021
The Youth Artist Program (YAP) has come to a close for the year 2020, and to celebrate, we created an online showcase called A Year in Review. The showcase highlights all of the fantastic work of our youth artists this year. YAP was not able to finish its spring semester in person, yet continued virtually, invent new pilot summer courses, and provide opportunities for Young Artists to participate in our first stipend internship this Fall semester. I am grateful and proud of all the youth artists who participated and gave 100% to their art as they collaborated with us. As you look at the Year in Review, I hope that you can see how the youth artists in our community are resilient and able to be creative in the face of social change, a pandemic, and virtual learning, which is not easy!
The Youth Artist Program continues to create opportunities to build a portfolio and improve visual arts skills. We are now registering for the Spring Semester. On our website, you will find the links that will take you to our new applications for Spring 2021. If you have already filled out our general YAP application, you only need to fill out the forms for the classes you are interested in.
